University Grants Commission has come up with the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) programme in which the students have a choice to choose from the prescribed courses, which are referred as core, elective or minor or soft skill courses and they can learn at their own pace and the entire assessment is graded-based on a credit system. The basic idea is to look into the needs of the students so as to keep up-to-date with development of higher education in India and abroad. Mahadev Chandra Deka, retd. Vice-Principal from Bajali College was the resource person on the ocassion. He spoke about various features of CBCS, how does it work, how is the credit counted, its advantages and its disadvantages. Almost hundred numbers of students participated in the event.
The College is going to celebrate its 62th Foundation day on 16th of August this year too with the following program schedule. All are cordially invited to join the occasion.

The Library of this institution in collaboration with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) celebrated the “Library Day” on 12th of August (Friday) this year with the following program schedule.

In connection to that event, there has been an “on-the-spot essay writing” competition which has also been organised. Interested persons are requested to join the event.
