International Women’s day is celebrated annually to acknowledge the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women across the globe. While women have proved themselves as fierce fighters, they are still called the ‘weaker sex’ irrespective of the milestones they have achieved. Bajali college has celebrated this occasion in the gracious presence of Mrs. Violet Baruah, SP, Barpeta District. Her delivery lecture was focused on this year’s theme “Press for Progress”  as a reminder that despite all the progress people have seen in recent years, there’s a long way to go for gender equality. The program was occupied by many faculty members and more the hundred students.
